GOOD MORNING MESSAGE #48

From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).

The last such message was: Good Morning Message #47‘.

Here is my forty-eighth day verse.

Good morning Friends,

Thank you God for blessing us all,
With gift of another new day;
What we make of it is our call,
We can use it as we may.

Some use it to spread cheers,
In the lives of people they know;
Whilst others give vent to their fears,
And convey to friend and foe.

We too have to make a choice,
How we want the day to be;
Is it simply going to be loud noise,
Or we’ll have moments of serenity?

(Pic courtesy: https://www.allposters.com.au)

Can we say at the end of today,
We’ve lived the day to the brim?
And yet we had time to pray,
For those for whom life is grim.

Can we say with real conviction,
We made full use of God’s gift?
Or is it that our claims are fiction,
And we were merely adrift?

I wish you the best action and plan,
To make this day really the best;
To think of and do all you can,
And then only earn your nightly rest.

A wonderful Wednesday waits for you to do well.

GOOD MORNING MESSAGE #47

From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).

The last such message was: Good Morning Message #46‘.

Here is my forty-seventh day verse.

Good morning Friends,

Just imagine in this world one day,
You realise there is no one around;
No one to whom ‘Good Morning’ you can say,
You scream and shout but no one’s to be found:

“Ah, my friends and family with whom I fought,
Were better than this deathly silence;
I didn’t realise what gems I had got,
Until I lost them to my inner violence.”

“If I could be given just one more chance,
I would tell them what they mean to me;
These are the people who make me dance,
Filling me up with happiness and glee.”

I ask you now why let it come to this,
When you may rue your neglect of friends;
Why not acknowledge it is such a bliss,
To wake up at dawn and think of them.

Good morning friends, I think of you,
The first thing when I wake up at dawn;
Perhaps you too can think anew,
Of your own friends before they’re gone.

Have a terrific Tuesday.

GOOD MORNING MESSAGE #46

From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).

The last such message was: Good Morning Message #45‘.

Here is my forty-sixth day verse.

Good morning Friends,

As the first rays of sun of a new day,
Come down to caress your face;
I have, dear friend, only this to say:
Let these add to your amazing grace.

Let blooming of flowers in monsoon showers,
Greet you most personally;
Let happiness lace all your hours,
And overwhelm you totally.

Let the world look as lovely as you are,
Let nothing mar the day’s charm;
Let all your troubles fly away very far,
Leaving you untouched and without harm.

I wish the day would turn out better,
Than even your most earnest prayer;
Indeed, it should become a trend-setter,
Of having in contentment your just share.

Have a marvelous Monday.

GOOD MORNING MESSAGE #45

From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).

The last such message was: Good Morning Message #44‘.

Here is my forty-fifth day verse.

Good morning Friends,

My wish for you today and everyday,
Is that you would always win the cup;
May for third-place you never have to play,
The time for your opponents would be up.

May you steal the gold from the sun,
And have your heart always filled with it;
And may when the day is fully done,
Everyone appreciate your go and grit.

May everyone hold you as an idol,
Of how to play Life’s every match;
May you be everyone’s role model,
Who’d steal victory from the scratch.

Winning Cup of Sunday wants to have your name on it.

GOOD MORNING MESSAGE #44

From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).

The last such message was: Good Morning Message #43‘.

Here is my forty-third day verse.

Good morning Friends,

In the dark of nights we part,
In the light of mornings we meet;
Yes, we are in each other’s heart,
But meetings are still so sweet.

So what if it is only in virtual world,
That we meet at each daybreak?
It is nice to see greetings being unfurled,
As soon as we are actually awake.

That we are in each other’s thought,
Is really a very pleasant feeling;
Before in the day’s activities we’re caught,
Let’s exchange morning greetings.

Have a really great day today,
Is my earnest wish for you;
For your health and success I pray,
And for happiness, peace and glory too.

Have a satiating Saturday.

GOOD MORNING MESSAGE #43

From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).

The last such message was: Good Morning Message #42.

Here is my forty-third day verse.

Good morning Friends,

In God’s world there is newness everywhere,
There is newness in every tick of the clock;
There is new day, new month and new year,
You can hear newness, at your door, knock.

Of what use is this newness to us,
If we fail to make our lives new?
Surely, we would have missed the bus,
If with our old habits we continue.

Let’s therefore resolve each day,
That we shall make our lives turn around;
That we shall somehow find a way,
To have new resole, to break new ground.

Today’s morning wish is just to remind,
That we carry our destiny in our hand;
That in all of God’s newness we can find,
Our own newness that is unique and grand.

Have a fresh and frothy Friday.

GOOD MORNING MESSAGE #42

From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).

The last such message was: Good Morning Message #41‘.

Here is my forty-second day verse.

Good morning Friends,

Have a most beautiful day.

Great distances this wish travels,
To come from me to you;
And one thing that it unravels,
Is that distances close when hearts do.

Great that at the break of each day,
We think of those we love;
For all of them a prayer we say,
Just in case push comes to shove.

May your day be as awesome,
As the awesome person you are;
May your smiles be as winsome,
As those of a popular film star.

Have a throbbing Thursday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DADDY

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LYN

Your birthday for us is always a day,
To thank God for His best Creation;
I am sure He has shown us the way,
To continue with our best celebration.

As you grew into a pretty young girl,
Family and friends must have been in awe;
Looking at you was as if beholding a pearl,
The loveliest that anyone ever saw.

Before long, God’s messengers came to me,
And said, “For life-partner don’t look too far;
God has intended her especially for thee,
She’ll be your brightest moon and star.

I bowed my head to God’s command,
And took you gleefully as my wife;
As I held your hand in my hand,
I knew God had given me a gift for life.

And soon you gave two handsome boys,
God, we felt, was always very kind;
There was no end to our collective joys,
As we look at the times that are behind.

Today is the day we can look back with pride,
At everything that started with your birth;
All throughout God has been on our side,
Filling our cup with His bounties and mirth.

Music has been our passion dear Lyn,
And I feel we made great music together;
With that, even when down we could win,
And get over all the rough weather.

So today on your birthday, once again,
I give you our pet song of years gone by;
Come sunshine, storm or rain,
Our love would always make us fly.

Happy Birthday my sweetest darling,
May happiness and health be always on your side;
May you always ride on Love’s wing,
And look back at life with joys and pride.

GOOD MORNING MESSAGE #41

From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).

The last such message was: Good Morning Message #40‘.

Here is my forty-first day verse.

Good morning Friends,

An awesome day awaits you.

As the Earth rotates towards the East,
And that part where we are gets the Sun,
We begin to get a new dawn’s feast,
As also the darkness is on the run.

Lets not have it only as a physical event,
Lets also have our lives guided by it,
Let darkness of yesterday to the past be sent,
Let our inner self too by the sun be lit.

Let each new day give us the will,
To have new hopes, aims and resolve,
And work at those even if uphill,
Until a new life and person do evolve.

Let the sunniness of the day enter your inner being.

GOOD MORNING MESSAGE #40

From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).

The last such message was: Good Morning Message #39‘.

Here is my fortieth day verse:

Good morning Friends,

Have a terrific Tuesday.

Tiw was the Nordic one-handed god of war,
That gave this day of the week its name;
Planet Mars or Mangal Grah is the star,
That earned Tuesday contemporary fame.

Mangal is auspicious in Hindu culture,
To start anything fresh or new;
And if you see the horoscope’s picture,
You know in a huge manner it affects you.

(Pic courtesy: Aaj Tak)

We can’t ignore the names of days,
And pretend these don’t affect anyone;
We should be aware of the myriad ways,
That link us to planets, moon and the sun.

I hope you enjoyed last one week’s posts,
That explained the names of days of the week;
And this site is not the one that boasts,
That it invented this knowledge, tongue in cheek.

Happy Tuesday my friends on the net,
Have a very auspicious Mangalvar;
Sun may rise and moon may set,
May always on the zenith be your life’s star.

GOOD MORNING MESSAGE #39

From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).

The last such message was: Good Morning Message #38‘.

Here is my thirty-ninth day verse:

Good morning Friends,

Have a marvelous Monday.

Somavar, Moon’s Day or Monday,
Always follows the Day of the Sun;
In reflected glory it has its say,
Yet, week days begin with this one.

Lets not forget that a seven day week,
Is actually based on the lunar phases;
Going from New Moon to a Waning Streak,
With a regular cycle, on earth, it gazes.

(Pic courtesy: https://mslauschproject.weebly.com/moons-day.html)

So, this Somavar just think of the Moon,
Closest to the Earth to which we belong;
Its full glory always makes us swoon,
And we do break into poetry and song.

Happy Monday, then, to one and all,
Let moonshine always light your way;
Let its enticing and romantic call,
Make you croon, swing and sway.

Have a moody Monday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MANIK BEHNA

Here is a two-in-one poem for you: first in Hindi and then in English:

या हमारे Sreehari जीजू के साले को;

Lyn,

Here is the other one:

God made you as epitome of love and affection,
And said, “This happens to be my best creation”;
Whenever anyone is filled with gloom and dejection,
Manik would turn these into joys and elation.

And then He sent me a separate note,
Which said, “Ravi, I am going to bless you”;
“Here is someone who would make you float,
With her sisterly love she’d caress you.”

At VT station when we saw her the first time,
She looked like an angel from the sky;
Whilst friends are there a dozen a dime,
This sister could actually make me fly.

Her winning ways are simply adorable,
Being with her is the biggest glee,
As sisters go she is the most amicable,
In YKDN Meet, with other Su’s, she made lovely three.

We wish her the happiest birthday ever,
And a life that is healthy, glorious and fun,
As a family we shall be separated never,
We stick together, the parivaar of YKDN.

Lots of love Manik.
Have an awesome day.

GOOD MORNING MESSAGE #38

From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).

The last such message was: Good Morning Message #37‘.

Here is my thirty-eighth day verse:

Good morning Friends,

Have a stunning Sunday.

Finally the day of the sun again,
To give us life, warmth and light,
How nice it is when it shines through the rain,
Making rainbows with colours so bright.

Whilst you rest, the overarching ravi,
Protects you from evil and dark,
It is a painter, it is a kavi,
It often sees you in the stark.

Have a radiant and sunny day,
There is no place beyond the Sun,
You can keep all problems at bay,
Simply by having with you the brightest one.

For that, some even do Surya Namaskar,
Letting Sun to rule their thought,
Let’s at least be grateful on Ravivaar,
That Sun gives us all that we’ve got.

May Sunday give you a sterling surprise.

GOOD MORNING MESSAGE #37

From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).

The last such message was: Good Morning Message #36‘.

Here is my thirty-seventh day verse:

Good morning Friends,

Have a stirring Saturday.

Today is the day of Shani or Saturn,
God of plenty, peace and time,
In football there is a lot of heartburn,
Some pillars like Brazil went out like old dime.

But, there is a lesson for all:
Today’s champions are a nought tomorrow,
Look at all the stalwarts fall,
And you know sports does from real life borrow.

So, on a day when you feel you are down,
Remember that it is just a passing phase,
There is no need to fret or frown,
Soon, God would clear all haze.

Good morning then my dearest friend,
May you have a perfect day,
On Shanivar, do to anger tend,
And let Time and Tide have their way.

A satisfying Saturday awaits you.
