Here is my thirty-eighth day verse:

Good morning Friends,

Have a stunning Sunday.

Finally the day of the sun again,
To give us life, warmth and light,
How nice it is when it shines through the rain,
Making rainbows with colours so bright.

Whilst you rest, the overarching ravi,
Protects you from evil and dark,
It is a painter, it is a kavi,
It often sees you in the stark.

Have a radiant and sunny day,
There is no place beyond the Sun,
You can keep all problems at bay,
Simply by having with you the brightest one.

For that, some even do Surya Namaskar,
Letting Sun to rule their thought,
Let’s at least be grateful on Ravivaar,
That Sun gives us all that we’ve got.

May Sunday give you a sterling surprise.

Good morning Friends,

Have a stirring Saturday.

Today is the day of Shani or Saturn,
God of plenty, peace and time,
In football there is a lot of heartburn,
Some pillars like Brazil went out like old dime.

But, there is a lesson for all:
Today’s champions are a nought tomorrow,
Look at all the stalwarts fall,
And you know sports does from real life borrow.

So, on a day when you feel you are down,
Remember that it is just a passing phase,
There is no need to fret or frown,
Soon, God would clear all haze.

Good morning then my dearest friend,
May you have a perfect day,
On Shanivar, do to anger tend,
And let Time and Tide have their way.

A satisfying Saturday awaits you.

Good morning Friends,

Have a fine Friday,

Today is the day of Venus or Aphrodite,
Frigg or Shukra is the other name,
She is the goddess of love, sex and fertility,
And hence always of contemporary fame.

Venus is also the brightest planet or star,
Making love shine everywhere,
With love you can go wide and far,
Keeping family and friends in its care.

So let me wish you a loving Friday,
Or, as in Hindi, pyaara Shukravar,
Let this be also a ‘try-day’,
Wherein we try Love and not War.

Have a friendly, forgiving Friday.

Have a thoughtful Thursday.

Today is the day of god Thor,
Or of Brihaspati the Vedic sage,
You can’t ask for anything more,
Than to have both on the same page.

May gods bless your day,
And bring you loads of mirth,
May you have your say all the way,
Of success, health and glory, let there be no dearth.

May you wake up at each dawn
To find His blessings at your door,
May the breakout of each morn,
Fill your heart, with joys, to the core.

A thoughtful Thursday awaits to bring you great thrills.

Good morning Friends,

Have a wonderful Wednesday.

If wishes were horses, they say,
Beggars would surely ride,
This beggar today and everyday,
Begs God to turn your tide.

Days of the week, as you already know,
Are named after many a Nordic god,
Today is Odin’s Day, and so,
Remember, like a wanderer he trod.

Times change and over the years,
We forget the true meaning of things,
Now that you know you tell your peers,
That knowledge indeed gives you wings.

Have a happy Wednesday friend,
May god Odin bless your day,
And in case you want the Hindi trend,
Then allow ‘Budh’ to have his way.

“Hamen to Budhawar chahiye”! So be it.

याद उनकी आयी तो आंख नम हो गयी,
ज़िन्दगी के हसीन लम्हें जो मां संग बिताये थे,
क्यूं अचानक उनकी बस उम्र कम हो गयी,
अभी तो इस दिल में कई अरमान सजाये थे।

लोग कहते हैं फ़क़्त रह जाती है याद,
हमारे अपने चले जाते हैं जाने कहाँ?
मुझे तो अब भी दिखती हैं जाने के बाद,
हालांकि अब मैं यहां और वह है वहां।

एक तार थी दिलों की जो अब भी है जुड़ी,
भगवान भी भूल गए हैं इसे तोड़ना,
माँ, तेरे पास थी वह जादू की छड़ी,
जिस से आसान था दिलों का जोड़ना।

साल होने को है जैसे कल की बात हो,
लगता है माँ अभी भी बैठी हैं नज़दीक;
मिलते हैं जैसे हर रोज़ की मुलाकात हो,
घर के हर काम में वह अब भी हैं शरीक।

उनके कदमों की आहट अभी भी सुनती है
उनकी मुस्कराहट से घर अभी भी आबाद है,
वक़्त की सुइयां एक जाल सा बुनती हैं,
पर माँ खुद यहां है, ना सिर्फ उनकी याद है।

Yaad unki aayi to aankh nam ho gayi,
Zindagi ke haseen lamhe jo maa sang bitaye the,
Kyun achanak unki bas umr kam ho gayi,
Abhi to is dil ne kai armaan sajaaye the.

Log kehte hain faqt reh jaati hai yaad,
Hamaare apne chale jaate hain jaane kahan?
Mujhe to abhi bhi dikhti hain jaane ke baad,
Halanke ab main yahan aur woh hain wahan.

Ek taar thi dilon ki jo ab bhi hai judi,
Bhagwan bhi bhool gaye hain ise todna,
Maa, tere paas thi woh jaadu ki chhadi,
Jis se asaan tha dilon ka jodna.

Saal hone ko hai jaise kal ki baat ho,
Lagta hai maa abhi bhi baithi hain nazdeek,
Milte hain jaise har roz ki mulaqaat ho,
Ghar ke har kaam mein woh ab bhi hain shareek.

Unke kadmon ki aahat abhi bhi sunati hai,
Unki muskaraahat se ghar abhi bhi abaad hai,
Waqt ki suiyaan ek jaal sa bunati hain,
Par maa khud yahan hain, na sirf unki yaad hai.

Have a truly thrilling Tuesday

She bathed, she is naked, she is alluring,
One never gets tired of looking at her,
Everything about her is so enduring,
The everlasting beauty of Nature.

She is the painting with God’s own brush,
Everyday, she looks so inviting,
No wonder all of us have on her a crush,
Today she is wet, breathless and exciting.

God, I thank you this morning again,
For giving us our beloved Nature,
Sometimes sunny, sometimes soaked in rain,
She is your loveliest caricature.

Now that we all go to sleep,

We’ve adjusted the alarm’s beep,
Until after some sleep’s had its way.

So, sorry for the morning ode,
That’s come to you a little late;
But since you too were in dreams abode,
You didn’t really have to wait.

Here’s wishing that life’s match,
You’d win by many a goal;
And post that you’d still snatch,
Some rest for body and soul.

Let today be a Monday that makes you marvel at your own magnificence.

Good morning Friends,

Have a snoring Sunday.

Another day, another month, another gift from God,
But since it is Sunday, give rest your nod.
Let body and mind be free from all worry,
Let everything wait, there is no flaming hurry.

Let mind dwell on all things good and nice,
When you’ve had a little, let it suffice.
Do everything at its own intended pace,
On this day of leisure don’t be in any race.

There is football to come at the end of the day,
We enjoy each game whoever is in the fray.
And thus we shall say good bye to a day of rest,
Content that we would’ve used it to the best.

A sleepy, seductive, Sunday awaits you.

Have a satisfying Saturday.

It has been exactly a month today,
When I started sending Good morning greetings as verses,
I hope these have added a sunny ray,
Even if no extra money in your verses.

Thousands of wishes one can find on the net,
With many an image and quote,
But how many will be there who daily get,
Something with which you can personally emote?

So dearest friend, Good Morning again,
For the last day of the month of June,
Tomorrow, come sunshine or rain,
I shall be back to make you swoon.

Good morning Friends,

Have a fabulous Friday.

God lent goodness and beauty to all things,
And then He thought of freshness too;
So, he gave our imagination wings,
And made them appear as new.

We’re thus filled with awe,
When we see a baby being born,
Similar wonders at our senses claw,
When each day we greet the new morn.

Like the newborn unmoulded child,
It is God’s gift to us all,
That it’d become gentle, happy, sad or wild,
Is totally our own call.

Have a thrilling Thursday.

Now that the days are getting wetter,
And summer heat is left behind,
Let’s thank God for making it better,
Yes, He’s always so kind.

Sawan is the time of the year,
To fill one’s heart with desire
To walk in the rain without fear,
And set your love life on fire.

So, greet this morning my friend,
With promise of exciting romance,
Don’t let age send you around the bend,
Let the child in you have a chance.

A thankful, thoughtful, thoroughly thumping Thursday is at the threshold.

Good morning Friends,

Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Mornings are the time of the day,
For changing colours and hues;
Think what are they trying to say,
With all the whites, yellows, reds and blues.

Me think they prepare us well,
For changing moods of life;
Today is joyous but no one can tell,
Tomorrow may be full of strife.

All that’s needed of us,
Is to take all shades in our stride,
And without making too much of fuss,
Make the best, we can, of the tide.

A wondrous, whopping, worthy, winsome Wednesday is waiting to be discovered.

Good morning Friends,

Have a trendy Tuesday.

As you open your lovely eyes,
And sip your first sip of tea;
Do you think of how time flies,
Or do you think of me?

As for me I always think of you, my friend,
For whom I pen these odes,
There are others who only forwards send,
But I have originals in loads.

May our bonding become stronger,
With every verse I pen,
May you become healthier and younger,
Like the best of women or men.
