GOOD MORNING MESSAGE #55

Wednesday morning and the fifty-fifth day verse as a good morning message.

From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).

The last such message was: Good Morning Message #54‘.

Good morning Friends,

How would we spend our day today,
If someone were to tell us it’s our last?
Will we have something nice to do and say,
Or will we leave our friends aghast?

Chances are we’d like to be good and kind,
So that, by everyone, we are fondly missed;
Most likely we’d put any bitterness behind,
No one should recall that we ever hissed.

If our last day can fill us with such goodwill,
Why not assume each day to be our last?
As today’s generation would say: “Just chill”,
And put our hair down and “have a blast”.

How can we say, when the Angel of Death,
Would come knocking at our door;
And before we breathe our last breath,
We can’t say we haven’t been given encore?

Today is then the day to mend fences,
Be nice to everyone who’s around;
Ah, lets get rid of all our pretenses,
And use the altruism that we have found.

Have a well-spent Wednesday spreading goodwill.

i-Peg Poem of the Week #15

These poems are for my close friend Maj Vishwas Mandloi’s delightful group of tipplers called i-Peg. One has to raise a toast to the committed lot for their single-minded aim of spreading cheers!

The last one was titled ‘Peene Ki Wajah

Here is the 15th poem:

एक वक्त था जब जाम छलक जाते देखे,
अब मय की कीमत कुछ समझ में आई;
अब आंसू आंख के पलक में आते देखे,
पर होने नहीं देते हम मय की रुसवाई।

मैखाने में उनके संग हम पी लेते थे,
साकी की नज़र में भी था नशा अजीब सा;
ज़िन्दगी मुश्किल थी पर हम जी लेते थे,
रख लेते थे वह भी दिल मुझ गरीब का।

चले गए वोह, बदल गया माहौल-ए-मैखाना,
रह गए हम दो: मैं और मेरी तन्हाई;
वो भी दो हैं: भरी बोतल और पैमाना,
उनके संग ही हमने कई शामें बिताई।

तब एहसास हुआ कौन हैं मेरे असली हबीब,
किन्हें फर्क पड़ता है मेरे हॅसने या रोने पे;
कौन रहता है हरदम मेरे दीील के करीब,
किस का नाम लबों पे है जागते और सोने पे।

जाम को अब मैं कभी छलकने नहीं देता,
ज़िन्दगी भर का बन गया है संग अब इसका;
इस में कभी मैं आंसू टपकने नहीं देता,
फीका न पड़ जाए कहीं रंग अब इसका।

GOOD MORNING MESSAGE #54

Tuesday morning and the fifty-fourth day verse as a good morning message.

From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).

The last such message was: Good Morning Message #53‘.

Good morning Friends,

One of the best ways to start a new day,
Is to think of those who have less;
God has made them of the same clay,
They too deserve the same kindness.

And lo, we find we are more cheerful,
Than we had ever thought to be;
Also, we are distinctly less fearful,
Of the future that we could dimly see.

If comparative happiness makes us sad,
It also has the power to make us grateful;
There are people who just one meal haven’t had,
Whilst with every meal we have’d a plateful.

Let’s fold our hands in prayer to Him and say:
“Thank you for giving us more than we need”,
This is really the best way to begin the day,
And suddenly of our troubles we are freed.

We are the richest men or women anywhere,
We have no desire to always want more;
Of what we need God has already taken care,
He has given us enough to keep in store.

A trouble-free Tuesday awaits us.

GOOD MORNING MESSAGE #53

Monday morning and the fifty-third day verse as a good morning message.

From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).

The last such message was: Good Morning Message #52‘.

Good morning Friends,

What should be the plan for the day,
To this here or to do that there?
Or simply snuggle in the bed to stay,
And then switch on the telly to stare?

All these morning decisions can tire you,
It is hard to make the correct choice;
There is, but, one thing that can fire you,
It is to try to listen to your inner voice.

(Quote courtesy: https://momonline.us/monday-affirmation/)

And morning is the right time for it,
To think of making the day a success;
See if that small green button is lit,
That asks you not to settle for less.

Imagine this day would never return,
Whatever you plan you have to do now;
So let your inner energy juices churn,
And tell you what, where, why and how.

May satisfaction await you at night,
For having done what you set out to do;
May you have got all those things right,
For this new day that should excite you.

GOOD MORNING MESSAGE #52

Here is the fifty-second day ode as a good morning message.

From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).

The last such message was: Good Morning Message #51‘.

Good morning Friends,

Why are most leaves green?
And why are most roses red?
When we get up light is seen,
It is dark when we go to bed.

Are these mere coincidences,
Or are these as per some plan?
Else what would be the consequences,
If God had nothing to do with Man?

On getting up in the morning today,
Just give it a little thought;
What if temporarily God would be away,
And then some problem we’d got?

Thank God, we have Him 24/7,
And our mornings are really good,
Just think if He was not in Heaven,
Our prayers who would’ve understood?

Let this thought remain with you,
As I wish you Good Morning today;
I pray that in everything that you do,
God would guide your way.

Have a splendid Sunday.

GOOD MORNING MESSAGE #50

Sunbyanyname wishes you a very good morning again.

From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).

The last such message was: Good Morning Message #49‘.

Here is my fiftieth day verse.

Good morning Friends,

Today I completed exactly fifty days,
Of giving you these Good Morning odes;
I hope you have relished the sunny rays,
That I have sent out to you in loads.

The blog from where these come to you,
Is called – and you know it – Sunbyanyname;
Everyday, you get something new,
Putting you always in a sunny frame.

Have a bright day, my friends on the net,
Let the Sun’s goodness guide your way;
So what if physically we haven’t met,
One fine day, we actually may.

Have a fine Friday.

GOOD MORNING MESSAGE #49

Why would God think of making so many things NEW for us?

From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).

The last such message was: Good Morning Message #48‘.

Here is my forty-ninth day verse.

Good morning Friends,

Among all the things that God makes new,
New day, everyday, is just one that is admired,
There are, for instance, weather and seasons too,
So that having the same won’t make us tired.

Newness in God’s things gives us new will,
To start afresh and make corrections;
No matter even if our path is uphill,
We can approach with new plans and actions.

It is one of the reasons to thank Him at daybreak,
For giving us a chance to start anew;
Sit up and fold your hands once you are awake,
And say, “God I’ve understood your plan and you.”

“I start the day by really thanking you,
For giving me yet another chance;
Now I know why so many things you make new,
Their newness is actually a reason to dance.”

Have a thankful Thursday.

GOOD MORNING MESSAGE #48

From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).

The last such message was: Good Morning Message #47‘.

Here is my forty-eighth day verse.

Good morning Friends,

Thank you God for blessing us all,
With gift of another new day;
What we make of it is our call,
We can use it as we may.

Some use it to spread cheers,
In the lives of people they know;
Whilst others give vent to their fears,
And convey to friend and foe.

We too have to make a choice,
How we want the day to be;
Is it simply going to be loud noise,
Or we’ll have moments of serenity?

(Pic courtesy: https://www.allposters.com.au)

Can we say at the end of today,
We’ve lived the day to the brim?
And yet we had time to pray,
For those for whom life is grim.

Can we say with real conviction,
We made full use of God’s gift?
Or is it that our claims are fiction,
And we were merely adrift?

I wish you the best action and plan,
To make this day really the best;
To think of and do all you can,
And then only earn your nightly rest.

A wonderful Wednesday waits for you to do well.

GOOD MORNING MESSAGE #47

From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).

The last such message was: Good Morning Message #46‘.

Here is my forty-seventh day verse.

Good morning Friends,

Just imagine in this world one day,
You realise there is no one around;
No one to whom ‘Good Morning’ you can say,
You scream and shout but no one’s to be found:

“Ah, my friends and family with whom I fought,
Were better than this deathly silence;
I didn’t realise what gems I had got,
Until I lost them to my inner violence.”

“If I could be given just one more chance,
I would tell them what they mean to me;
These are the people who make me dance,
Filling me up with happiness and glee.”

I ask you now why let it come to this,
When you may rue your neglect of friends;
Why not acknowledge it is such a bliss,
To wake up at dawn and think of them.

Good morning friends, I think of you,
The first thing when I wake up at dawn;
Perhaps you too can think anew,
Of your own friends before they’re gone.

Have a terrific Tuesday.

GOOD MORNING MESSAGE #46

From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).

The last such message was: Good Morning Message #45‘.

Here is my forty-sixth day verse.

Good morning Friends,

As the first rays of sun of a new day,
Come down to caress your face;
I have, dear friend, only this to say:
Let these add to your amazing grace.

Let blooming of flowers in monsoon showers,
Greet you most personally;
Let happiness lace all your hours,
And overwhelm you totally.

Let the world look as lovely as you are,
Let nothing mar the day’s charm;
Let all your troubles fly away very far,
Leaving you untouched and without harm.

I wish the day would turn out better,
Than even your most earnest prayer;
Indeed, it should become a trend-setter,
Of having in contentment your just share.

Have a marvelous Monday.

GOOD MORNING MESSAGE #45

From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).

The last such message was: Good Morning Message #44‘.

Here is my forty-fifth day verse.

Good morning Friends,

My wish for you today and everyday,
Is that you would always win the cup;
May for third-place you never have to play,
The time for your opponents would be up.

May you steal the gold from the sun,
And have your heart always filled with it;
And may when the day is fully done,
Everyone appreciate your go and grit.

May everyone hold you as an idol,
Of how to play Life’s every match;
May you be everyone’s role model,
Who’d steal victory from the scratch.

Winning Cup of Sunday wants to have your name on it.

GOOD MORNING MESSAGE #44

From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).

The last such message was: Good Morning Message #43‘.

Here is my forty-third day verse.

Good morning Friends,

In the dark of nights we part,
In the light of mornings we meet;
Yes, we are in each other’s heart,
But meetings are still so sweet.

So what if it is only in virtual world,
That we meet at each daybreak?
It is nice to see greetings being unfurled,
As soon as we are actually awake.

That we are in each other’s thought,
Is really a very pleasant feeling;
Before in the day’s activities we’re caught,
Let’s exchange morning greetings.

Have a really great day today,
Is my earnest wish for you;
For your health and success I pray,
And for happiness, peace and glory too.

Have a satiating Saturday.

GOOD MORNING MESSAGE #43

From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).

The last such message was: Good Morning Message #42.

Here is my forty-third day verse.

Good morning Friends,

In God’s world there is newness everywhere,
There is newness in every tick of the clock;
There is new day, new month and new year,
You can hear newness, at your door, knock.

Of what use is this newness to us,
If we fail to make our lives new?
Surely, we would have missed the bus,
If with our old habits we continue.

Let’s therefore resolve each day,
That we shall make our lives turn around;
That we shall somehow find a way,
To have new resole, to break new ground.

Today’s morning wish is just to remind,
That we carry our destiny in our hand;
That in all of God’s newness we can find,
Our own newness that is unique and grand.

Have a fresh and frothy Friday.

GOOD MORNING MESSAGE #42

From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).

The last such message was: Good Morning Message #41‘.

Here is my forty-second day verse.

Good morning Friends,

Have a most beautiful day.

Great distances this wish travels,
To come from me to you;
And one thing that it unravels,
Is that distances close when hearts do.

Great that at the break of each day,
We think of those we love;
For all of them a prayer we say,
Just in case push comes to shove.

May your day be as awesome,
As the awesome person you are;
May your smiles be as winsome,
As those of a popular film star.

Have a throbbing Thursday.
