Time to start saying thanks…..
From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).
The last such message was:’Good Morning Message #182‘.
Good morning Friends,
As the present year 2018 ends,
It is time to say thanks to you, friends;
If it hadn’t been for your affection,
Your warmth, guidance and direction,
Not just the year, life would’ve been dry,
Thanks to you I experienced a high.
Friends like you are really hard to find,
You are so special and yet you are kind;
I unabashedly bask in your reflected glory,
Thanks for bringing colour to my own story.
All I can say is that God did me this favour,
So that best in friendship I could savour.
Being with you is like being in sunshine,
Your company is both enriching and benign;
You made all my troubles look incredibly small,
Thanks to your support I’d stand proud and tall.
Wherever you are I could count on you,
Year after year our friendship we renew.
Please do forgive me if I caused you dismay,
And some tenets of friendship I didn’t obey;
Charge it off to my getting forgetful and old,
And acting as if I was covered with a blindfold.
Let me assure you our friendship I value,
Through years and what’d shortly be starting new.
…..And friends are always the first.
